Pinehurst Resort & Country Club For more than 125 years, Pinehurst Resort has welcomed golf's greatest players. Dating back to the first championship held at Course No.2 in 1901, Pinehurst Resort has had a rich history with championship events. With No. 2 at Pinehurst having served as the site of more single golf championships than any other course in the United States, it is safe to say the course is rich in history and success. Pinehurst Resort will host the U.S. Open in 2024 and subsequent years in 2029, 2035, 2041, and 2047.
